FOCUS SESSION
English focus sessions will look at the complexity of some of the comprehension texts. We will cover not only the reading texts but the aspects of grammar, punctuation and literacy techniques children need to be familiar with. Technical English questions usually account for around 25% of a student’s English score. The other 75% is made up of comprehension questions. As such, it forms a key part of the assessment. Cost £75.00

11+ parent workshop talks you through:
- what is the 11+
- what your child has to do to be successful
- how you can help them
- how we can help them
- expectations for sept 2026 onwards
- some example maths, English, VR and NVR questions
This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions
You will receive a £25 voucher towards workshops or mock tests at the end of the workshop.
Homework
PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO LINK: -https://youtu.be/CWSZwYx-iFo - NVR Analogies before the lesson. This can replace a 10min test and children will receive 2 raffle tickets for doing so.
CGP Practice Books 8 - 9. VR Assessment Test 8. Finish any other pages in the English / VR practice books.
Finish the booklet from the lesson and return in the following week. Remember to complete the vocab in context.
REMEMBER: to mark the homework with your child and bring it to next lesson.

This week’s KAHOOT: Vocab Quiz 21: 03782505 (due 16th March 8pm) www.kahoot.it. Use your name. Name1, Name2 etc. This way we can identify who you are to give you a raffle ticket per play. The person with the highest score will receive 10 raffle tickets!
