MATHS FOCUS SESSIONS

The Year 4 11+ maths sessions are designed to introduce students to more advanced mathematical concepts in preparation for Year 5. These sessions will focus on tackling increasingly challenging problems, equipping children with efficient problem-solving techniques, and developing their ability to answer multiple-choice questions with speed and accuracy. Key topics covered will include ratio, percentages, algebra, and pie charts, ensuring that students are exposed to new and essential areas of learning. By participating in these sessions, your child will not only build their confidence but also strengthen their mathematical skills, laying a solid foundation for success in next year’s 11+ examination.

DATES Week commencing: 31st March, 7th April and 28th April (Tuesday 5:30pm or Saturday 3:30pm). Cost £75.00.

Homework

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO LINK: -https://youtu.be/HafIob_GOTA- VR Related Words before the lesson. This can replace a 10min test and children will receive 2 raffle tickets for doing so.

  • CGP Practice Books 9 - 10

  • Maths P10-12.

  • NVR P6-9.

  • Finish the booklet from the lesson and return in the following week. Remember to complete the vocab in context.

  • REMEMBER: to mark the homework with your child and bring it to next lesson.
